What I have done: Throughout the first song project is experiment with several sound effects and guitar loops. As well as that I tried fading in/out several tracks just to find a nice groove. I tried using sound effects as a sort of transition between acoustic guitars and a drum beat.
What I learned with the First Song project: I learned how to fade in and fade out of tracks. Just in general I learned how to use Sound trap. I experimented with several sound effects and how some tracks may compliment others. I essentially established a foundation of understanding to what Sound trap is, and what I could accomplish using it.
2) Podcast Project
What I have done: In the Podcast Project I had incorporated my voice/microphone into a podcast. I had introduced myself, then included one of my favorite songs at the time. Essentially a get to know me podcast. What I learned; In the Podcast Project I learned several things. Firstly, I learned how to do a Podcast while incorporating music. And, it was music I liked as I used one of my favorite songs at the time. Also, using my microphone and incorporating that in Soundtrap.
3) Drum Beat
What I had done; In this beat it was my first project using drums, therefore it was quite the experiment. I had tried to incorporate tracks of Bass Drums, Hi-hats, Snare, and other kit pieces. Truly it didn't sound all too great as it was some sort of experiment. But I learned how to incorporate drums into a project.
What I learned: In the Drum Beat project I had learned how to incorporate drums into a project. I had learned what a hi-hat was. I had learned how to incorporate a snare drum. Although, it may not have sound great I learned how to incorporate each drum piece into my project.
4) Modal Beat
What I had done: In the Modal Beat project I had created a beat incorporating several thing I had learned in the past few projects. I had created a beat with my own drum pattern and loop. I had also incorporated several other beats and sound effects. I used fading as well.
What I had learned: I had learned from the Modal Beat how to incorporate all the things that I had learned previously into a beat that would somewhat sound better than previous attempts of myself using drum patterns. I had essentially learned how to use all the elements of previous beats into this specific one.
5) Four Measure Changes
(P.S. Unfortunately soundtrap would not allow me to download the audio it just says mixing for some reason? Sorry
What I had done: With this Project I had used a wall aspect into my beats by cutting out pieces of the music and sort of blending the rest together. I had used the brick in the wall strategy I believe it was called.
What I had learned: I had learned how to incorporate the brick strategy while making a good beat. Then I included several changes in measures.
6) Rushing Back Remix
What I had done: In the rushing back remix. I got the song rushing back and had to remix it. I had included several acoustic loops. Drums and sound effects were also included as well as the brick method. I tried to piece together everything to make it sound great on top of the rushing back song.
What I had learned: I learned how to remix a song incorporating all other elements already learned.
